Babies In The House

That's right 4 baby turkeys in the house.  I forgot how much sleep you miss when there are babies in the house.  I can't WAIT for it to warm up so they can go in their pen outside.  But I have to say, I am enjoying watching them.  The one especially already seems to have quite a bit of personality and is absolutely fascinated with Ozzie.  Which is funny because Ozzie is scared to death of him.  He's my gentle giant.  He's a good 100 pounds and he is scared of a 3 week old baby turkey.

In other news, the sleep deprivation is catching up with my husband and he has his cranky pants pulled up over his head.  Mother Nature, if you could speed up the warmer temperatures so these babies can move outside and we can get some sleep, I promise that next winter I'll cut my complaining in half.  Well, 1/4 for sure.  :)

    1. lol, I also like to say,in my best Dori from Findng Nemo voice, "Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills...just keep swimmin', swimmin', swimmin'" and that usually makes him laugh. However, this would be a good time for me to NOT say that. hehehe. Haven't named the turkeys yet because they are too young to know if they are boys or girls. I do have some names in mind tho....Archie for a male and Edith for the female. Stanley is a good strong name too...but I still have time to think on this :) Need another girl name.

  2. I'm not sure, I have been reading up on it and some say 3 months of age, some say 5 months. They are getting big FAST. I need to get new pics. Oh, and I've changed the names. If we get a male and female...Fred and Flora...my grandparents' names. Jake feels they woul be THRILLED to have turkeys named after them, lolol
